Goethe, Steiner e a pedagogia Waldorf

This article proposes to presente,in a synthetic way, the scientific method of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832). Called by theauthor himself “delicate empiria”,it emphasizes the importance of phenomenon observation in the process of knowledge. The text addresses the concepts of “type”,“metamorphos is”, “polarity ”,“ intensification” and the central role occupied by the researcher’s self-development in the goethianistic method. He then discusses his influence on Rudolf Steiner’s philosophical work (1861-1925) and on the structuring of his educational proposal, both regarding to the conception of a human being that underlies it, asto his teaching methodology. Finally, a brief report on thedis cipline “Phenomenology of Goethe” offered in the 2nd semester of the undergraduate course of Rudolf Steiner College and its relevance to the training of future teachers is presented.
