A poesia marginal nas letras de músicas de rap como processo de conscientização e libertação – (ÁlbumAmarElo, de Emicida: uma leitura à luzda Análise do Discurso)

Abstract

Art plays a fundamental role in the life of the human being. The poetry embedded in lyrics creates spaces for reflections, questioning and awareness that lead to new paths. In the 20th century, especially ‘marginal poetry’ was of great importance to the artists of the seventies in Brazil, known as the “Mimeograph Generation”. They used their artistic creations to criticize the conservative attitude and the arbitrariness of a part of society. Today, in the 21st century, it is possible to observe artists like Emicida who carry within themselves the indignation of the ‘marginal poets’ and, using a quick, sharp, insightful and, at the same time, hopeful poetry, propose a new look in their craftmanship of national rap. In this study, Emicida’s poetry and rap, through a reading in the light of Discourse Analysis, dialogue with urgent issues in the history of Brazil such as racism, prejudice, intolerance, human rights, without, however, abandoning joy and hope. The educator, armed with the primordial amalgam of poetry, music, rap, and historical reflections, can contribute to the holistic education of his or her students through an artistic-pedagogical proposal that ends this work.
