Abstract

The article deals with the history of the Monte Azul Community Association and, specifically, its origin and formation. In addition to the historical account, it is intended to present the founders of the Institution as an inspiration for the readers. It is about inviting each one to know part of human being’s lifestory who came together throughtheir qualities and who were sensitized to listen to the needs of acommunity. Dedicating themselves, through action they influenced other life stories while realizing their ideals. In this way, in the union of the three founders it is possible to perceive reflection, militancy andt ransformation with dignity and trust. In this research, the Oral History methodology was widely used, and several interviews were carried out with the founders of the Monte Azul Community Association. They evidence what each of them offered to the world as individualities. The three founders were inspired by the theoretical foundations of Anthroposophy by Rudolf Steiner and, under this aegis, the Institution was created. Rudolf Steiner affirmed that society, in the way it was constituted, would resultin misery and poverty and advocated that there could be conditions to overcome this situation, if new principles were sought to support coexistence and social achievements. The protagonism of the founders of Monte Azul highlighted the potential to do the obvious: to see, to listenand to feel, overcoming indifference and, from that, transform the world.
