Educação e agricultura nas Escolas Waldorf no Brasil

This article deals with the pedagogical activity of working on land in Waldorf schools. The research, conducted by agroup of teachers from Waldorf schools involved with the topic, sought to investigate some aspects of how the activity, generally called gardening, is developed in Waldorf schools. For this, ithad the support of the Federation of Waldorf Schools in Brazil, which sent the invitation to all schools to which it hasaccess. The online questionnaire was spontaneously answered by 36 kindergartens and schools through out Brazil. All responses showed a greatdiversity of work and activities with students. Several respondents are located in rural or peri-urban areas and in the seespecially, it was found that there is more intensive work in this direction. In the kindergartens that responded, allstudents regularly have nature activities. It also revealed different strategies for the involvement of the school community, relationship with farmers, was temanagement, among others. We conclude that there is a great wealth ofwork carried out by these schools involving the Waldorf curriculum, the school body and the community as awhole in this very urgent topic. The groupalso raised concerns about the schoolsthat did not respond; what would be thebias given to the theme within them? We believe in the great pedagogical and environmental potential that the topichas, deserving a prominent place in school curricula and teacher training.
